Huntly

Huntly is in the heart of North East Scotland and one of the areas largest historic market towns. It is home to a spectacular ruined castle that is one of the many castle’s that make Aberdeenshire Scotland’s Castke country.

The town sits at the edge of the region’s agricultural heartland (to the east) and the foothills of the Cairngorms to the west. Whatever direction you chose offers rewarding bike rides and some near empty roads. To the west, the route via Glass towards the Cabrach is one of the area’s classic rides. It’s far from flat on the north and east side of the town, with rolling hills and quiet roads along the Deveron Valley are one of the region’s lesser known gems.
