Glenshee ski-station, where the regions of Aberdeenshire, Perth and Kinross and Angus converge. The Cairnwell Pass at the door of the centre happens to be the highest road in the UK, so it had to feature on our cycling network. The route is in Aberdeenshire, but it feels like the Highlands. You are in the Cairngorm National Park and surrounded by Munros.
There is a caf at Glenshee, but depending on the time of year it might not be open. You won’t be short of parking if you decide to make a day trip starting out here – it does just mean that you have a challenging end to your day!
